An expensive boat was stolen from a local boat dealership.
Late Sunday, a Granville County man dropped off his Donzi center console boat to be serviced at Collins Inc. on US70 Business East of Smithfield. The dealership was closed at the time.
Surveillance cameras captured a pickup truck pull up to the boat around midnight Sunday and steal it. Authorities believe at least three people were in the truck.
When employees arrived at the business Monday morning they reported the theft.
The boat, trailer, two motors, electronics and other accessories were valued at $127,800.
