Carl Edward Lamm of Four Oaks and Smithfield, North Carolina is a member of the North Carolina Broadcasters Hall Of Fame and recipient of numerous other local, state and national honors. His career has spanned more than six decades, and his radio station WTSB 105.5 FM / 1090 AM of Smithfied and Selma North Carolina is widely acclaimed as one of the few stations in America Devoted to the best in OLD-TIME COUNTRY MUSIC. Through Lamm’s life-long love of baseball, his station is also widely known for preserving the rich history of the NEW YORK YANKEES. (He has saved over 500 of his recordedinterviews with the greatest Yankees players of all time, and also has a vast collection of his interviews with the stars of country music.)

A major force in Lamm’s life is his CHRISTIAN FAITH, and his radio station WMPM 1270 AM of Smithfield, North Carolina which is dedicated to Christian music and the message of the Bible. His DEEP LOVE OF AMERICA and it traditional values, and his DEVOTION TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS are always evident, both on and off the air.

This book covers his life from the time of his birth in the little town of Spring Hope, N.C. in 1927, through his unique experiences, and on to the much-changed world of 2010. It also tells about the lives of his family members, some of his “homefolks” and has in-depth views of the famous in country music and professional baseball who became his treasured friends.
