Clayton High Teacher Named A Super Star

The Clayton Chamber of Commerce has named Ms. Lynnette Barber of Clayton High School as their Super Star Teacher for the month of February.    Super Star teachers show excellence in their classrooms, inspire their students, and demonstrate community involvement and leadership.

Ms. Barber enhances her student’s daily by providing a safe and nurturing environment in her classroom.  She wants all of her students to enjoy the full high school experience.  She coordinates an alternative prom and a talent show for her students and parents to enjoy.

Barber also takes students on field trips that allow learning through experience and hands on activities.   She mentors colleagues and provides practical insight to other teachers and staff.  She sponsors the “Circle of Friends” Club which provides students an opportunity for social interaction.  Ms. Barber shows compassion, kindness and patience to help her students achieve and succeed.
