Drugs Found After Cops Are Called To Unlock Car

A large quantity of drugs were seized from a vehicle Saturday night after a man reportedly called deputies asking for assistance after he locked the keys in his vehicle.

After the vehicle was unlocked, Wayne County deputies said they detected a strong odor of marijuana. During a search of the vehicle, a quarter-pound of marijuana with a potential street value of $1,140 was found.

Andrea Simone Hines, 46, of Goldsboro was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $9,000.
