Police Located Drugs After Responding To Medical Call

A Smithfield man was arrested after a police officer responded to a medical call Thursday afternoon and stumbled across drugs at the home.

Johnston County EMS was dispatched to a residence on Booker Dairy Road. A Smithfield police officer was nearby and stopped to see if he could assist.

After arriving the officer said he detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside.  After the patient was treated, police received permission to search the home and located 25.9 grams of marijuana, digital scales and $65 cash.

Maurice Ladonius Anderson, 25, of the 1100 block of Booker Dairy Road was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and felony maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.  Anderson was taken to the Johnston County Jail where a magistrate set his bail at $25,000.

Jedon Leshon Dildy, 25, of E. Millbrook Street, Raleigh was cited at the scene for misdemeanor marijuana possession and released.
