Two people were rushed to the hospital Wednesday morning following a fiery crash in southern Johnston County.
Around 12:22am, a truck crashed on Drag Strip Road near Highway 242 South of Benson. After the impact the vehicle burst into flames.
The occupants narrowly escaped the burning wreckage. Both people in the truck were rushed to Wake Medical Center by Johnston County EMS crews.
The Meadow Fire Department and NC Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.
