Selma Police are investigating the robbery of a man as he walked alongside Highway 301.
A 34 year-old Selma man told police he was walking northbound beside US301 near Pizza Inn around 11:37pm Monday when he said two men struck him in the face with an object and took his money.
The suspects then fled on foot running towards Smithfield.
One suspect was a black male in his mid-20’s, about 6 foot tall, 160 pounds, wearing a black shirt. The second suspect was a black male in his mid-20;s wearing a green shirt and orange shorts. Both men were bald.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of a laceration above his eye.
