Walk Like MADD

The Johnston County District Attorney’s Office has formed a team to walk in the Raleigh Walk Like MADD event that raises money for Mothers Against Drunk Driving.  The fundraising event takes place on Saturday, June 3rd at Lake Benson Park in Garner.

District Attorney Susan Doyle and her staff have formed “Team Joco” and pledged to raise at least $4500.

Last Friday, the Johnston County Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police donated $1000 to Team JoCo’s efforts to meet its fundraising goal.

Captain Ronald Daniels of the Selma Police Department, Detective Chris Blinson of the Smithfield Police Department, and Detective Jason Linder of the Clayton Police Department presented the check to Doyle and members of her staff.

“We are so excited that our local Fraternal Order of Police would help get us to our fundraising goal by making such a generous donation,” stated District Attorney Susan Doyle. “Thanks to their support, we have now surpassed our fundraising goal.  It takes all of us working together as a team to combat drunk driving.  We are very grateful for their generosity and support.”
