A 37 year-old woman is facing charges after she reportedly lied about an assault.
Around 1:10am Tuesday, Johnston County deputies were dispatched to an address off Thanksgiving Fire Department Road after a woman went to a neighbors home and said she had been assaulted.
Deputies arrived on the scene and discovered marks on the face of the woman, Robyn Melissa Watson.
Watson claimed she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. Her boyfriend told authorities Watson slammed her head on the bathroom sink.
After being confronted with the information, Watson allegedly changed her story and admitted she had not been assaulted.
Watson was charged with filing a false police report and resisting an officer. She was given a $2,500 bond on the two misdemeanor charges.
