A joint investigation by the Johnston and Wake County Sheriff’s Departments narcotics divisions resulted in the arrest of as Selma man on marijuana trafficking charges.
Agents executed a search warrant at a home on Old Evans Road off Cornwallis Road west of Clayton Wednesday evening. During the search warrant, a total of 10 pounds of marijuana in vacuum sealed bags, digital scales and baggies was located. The marijuana had an estimated street value of $20,000.
23 year-old John Atlas Lucas III of Shady Grove Court, Selma was arrested and charged by Johnston County sheriff drug agents with three counts of trafficking marijuana and one felony count of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance.
Lucas was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
