17 Year-Old Caught After 100 MPH Motorcycle Chase

BENSON – A 17 year-old juvenile was arrested after he reportedly led law enforcement officers on a high speed chase. On Friday, October 29th at 9:50pm, a Johnston County deputy attempted to stop a motorcycle with an inspection violation and for operating recklessly on Stephenson Road.

The driver failed to stop and accelerated to speeds of 100 mph in a 55 mph zone while attempting to elude officers. During the brief pursuit, the suspect traveled in the wrong lane and also passed several cars in a no passing zone.

The teen pulled over on Bailey’s Crossroads Road, just inside Harnett County, and stopped. He was arrested without further incident.

The juvenile offender was charged with felony fleeing to elude arrest. He was transported to a juvenile detention center.

No injuries were reported.

  1. Glad he was caught before injuring himself or someone else. Hopefully this will provide a wake up call to him. I also hope they take his license away.
