$2 Million Bond Set For Child Rape Suspect

KENLY –  A Kenly man is facing a dozen felony charges following a sexual assault investigation by detectives with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.  Levi Isidoro Hernandez, 38, of Glenwood Place, Kenly is being held in the Johnston County Jail on a $2 million bond.

Sheriff’s investigators said they launched a criminal investigation after a report was filed with officers on May 18, 2020.  Hernandez is accused of sexually assaulting a female victim multiple times beginning when she was 11 years-old. The victim is now 14.

Among the charges Hernandez faces include multiple counts of statutory rape of a child by an adult, statutory sex offense, and taking indecent liberties with a minor.
