27 Pounds Of Marijuana Mailed To Johnston County Home, JCSO Says

Two people are facing felony charges after a package containing approximately 27 pounds of marijuana was mailed to a Johnston County home, authorities announced Monday.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said they were able to intercept the package on Nov. 21st and make a controlled delivery of the marijuana at an address on Raspberry Court in Willow Spring.

After making the delivery other agents moved in with a search warrant arresting Joshua James Ferguson, 29, of Raspberry Lane, Willow Spring and Aneesah Nichelle Gibbs, 26, of S. Cutchins Street, Whitakers.

Both suspects were charged with trafficking in marijuana. Ferguson was also charged with maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.

Gibbs was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $300,000 bond. Ferguson was held under a $10,000 bond.

Deputies said the drugs had an estimated street value of $40,500.
