Three people were arrested at the scene of a residential break-in on Saturday after deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call. Around 11:00am officers responded to the call on Creekstone Drive outside of Benson.
Johnston County deputies arrived and found a car in the driveway, a pickup truck in the back yard, and the rear door to the home removed.
Ashlee Brooke Selin, 33, of Benson reportedly told officers she lived at the home until two months ago. Selin claimed she was removing personal belongings from the premises.
Officers said the suspects were in the process of stealing a washer and dryer from the home when they arrived.
Selin along with Donald Chad Ballard, 46, of Jill Street, Angier, and Bobby James Dawes, 37, of Skyline Drive, Angier were charged with felony breaking and entering. Selin and Dawes were held under a $10,000 bond. Ballard was given a $5,000 bond.
Deputies also impounded the two vehicles the suspects reportedly drove to the scene.
