CLAYTON – Four students were transported to the hospital with minor injuries after their school bus was rear ended at a bus stop Wednesday morning. The two vehicle accident was reported in the 1200 block of Guy Road. There were approximately 22 students on Bus 420.
The teenage driver, who turned 18 years old today, ran into the rear of the bus. He was reportedly headed to classes at Clayton High School when the accident occurred.
The State Highway Patrol cited the 18 year-old driver for causing the accident. He was not injured.
The uninjured students were taken by a second bus to their school. The bus that was struck was able to be driven away from the scene after the Highway Patrol completed their investigation.
