ANGIER – Throughout the summer months, Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, just east of Angier, will again host their popular Super Sunday Nights Music Series. Services will be held each Sunday evening at 6:00pm. The Series begins the first Sunday in June and will conclude the last Sunday in August.
This summer’s series will feature many of the region’s most talented singers, musicians and quartets, as well as several nationally recognized recording artists. The Super Sunday Nights Series kicks off on Sunday, June 4 with talented vocal group, Mercy’s Cross. Popular multi-Grammy award nominated duo, Jeff & Sheri Easter will be featured June 11. Talented nationally known quartet, Real Truth Revival will round out the month of June on Sunday, June 26. (Piney Grove Chapel does not hold evening services on Father’s Day.)
During July, due to the July 4th weekend, evening services will not be held on July 2; however, the Super Sunday Night Series resumes on July 9 with popular trio, The Montgomery Family. The Rudy Theater’s resident comedian/singer/musician Clint Honeycutt will be the special musical guest on July 16, while popular musical family, The Taylors will be featured on July 23. Multi-award winning bluegrass Gospel group, The Churchmen will round out the month of July, appearing on July 30.
The Hickory Grove Quartet will kick off the month of August, as they will be featured on August 6, while popular local bluegrass musicians, Black Creek will be featured on August 13. Talented female vocalist, Alice Hobbs will appear on August 20, and on August 27 vocal trio, Kindred Spirit will be featured.
