Armed Robbers Hit Second Clayton Convenience Store

Clayton Police are asking for assistance locating two suspects responsible for two convenience store robberies in less than two weeks. Police are offering a reward for information leading to the arrests of the robbery suspects.

Around 9:30pm Wednesday, May 26th, two black males wearing masks and gloves entered the Handi-Mart at 10419 US Hwy 70 Business West and displayed a handgun and long gun. They demanded money from the clerk. The two suspects were able to obtain an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing the store on foot. No one was injured.

Around 10:35pm Friday, May 14th, the same suspects robbed Sandhu’s at 1225 Amelia Church Road. They were armed with a handgun and apparent short barreled shotgun. No injuries were reported.
