Arrest Made In Booker Dairy Road Construction Equipment Theft

An arrest has been made in the theft of construction equipment taken from the Booker Dairy Road Extension Project in North Smithfield.

Between Saturday and Monday, someone stole a trailer filled with equipment and tools parked near the intersection of Durwood Stephenson Highway and Buffalo Road. Combined the property was valued at $16,115.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office located the stolen property late-Monday on Davis Homestead Road outside of Selma and arrested Brian James Sellers, 29, of Goldsboro on a charge of possession of stolen goods.

All the property was recovered with the exception of a $400 generator.
