Arrest Made In Theft From Selma Business

Selma Police and Johnston County deputies have charged a Wake County man with stealing items from a Selma business earlier this month.

60 year-old Steven Todd Smith of Raleigh reportedly went to Doug’s Super Service Center on Pollock Street and stole scrap metal. The stolen metal was later resold to a recycling business in Clayton for $190.

Smith was charged Wednesday with larceny, trespassing and obtaining property by false pretenses.  He was confined in the Johnston County Jail in lieu of a $21,500 bond.
