Arrest Made In Thefts From 6 Lowes Home Improvement Stores

A multi-county investigation has led to the arrest of a suspect charged with shoplifting thousands of dollars in merchandise from Lowes Home Improvement stores.

On Tuesday, 30 year-old Antonio Jones of Turnbull Road, Fayetteville was arrested after he allegedly shoplifted $1,672 in items from the Lowes Home Improvement on Cleveland Crossing Drive in Johnston County.  Jones stole several drills and toolkits which were later recovered.

Jones has been linked to similar thefts from Lowes stores in Dunn, Clinton, Hope Mills, Fayetteville and Lumberton.

He was charged with six counts of felony larceny for the rash of thefts.  He was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
