Two Johnston County teenagers have been linked by detectives to a number of car break-ins reported last week in the Archer Lodge and Corinth Holders communities.
Zakiyus Daetreale Adams, 18, of Mudham Road, Wendell was formally charges Jan. 10th. Savon Foye, 19, of the 10000 block of Highway 222 West, Middlesex was arrested Jan. 13th. Both teens are charged with breaking into eight cars on Jan. 6th and 7th in northern Johnston County.
Items taken included cologne, purses, cell phone accessories, cash, cigarettes, a GPS unit, and a flashlight.
A break in the case came when a police officer allegedly caught the same suspects breaking into cars in Wendell. During a search of their vehicle, several items stolen in the Johnston County car break-ins were located.
Captain Jeff Caldwell with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said additional arrests have not been ruled out.
