A 21 year-old Benson man is facing felony drug charges after his arrest behind a Four Oaks area business. Around 10:00pm Friday, Johnston County deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked behind Dollar General on Highway 210 at Lassiter Road.
When deputies arrived they found two men in a car behind the store. The passenger, identified as Chad Michael Dupree of Beaver Ridge Way, allegedly had two heroin-filled needles and additional heroin in a backpack.
Dupree was charged with felony possession of heroin, felony maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Dupree was taken to the Johnston County Jail where a magistrate set bail at $5,000.
