Benson Man Charged With Trafficking Narcotics

BENSON – An on-going investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division led to the arrest of a Benson man on numerous drug trafficking charges.

On October 15th, agents executed a search warrant at 994 Surles Road, Benson. A large, undisclosed quantity of narcotics was reportedly located and seized.

Jimmy Waylon Johnson Jr., 56, of the same address, was charged with six counts of trafficking methamphetamine and three counts of trafficking cocaine.

Johnson was placed in the Johnston County Jail under a $900,000 secured bond.


  1. Hope it sticks. Funny how most people in the town want the drug dealers gone but no one talks of some them because of who they are. This one didn’t even make the FB JoCo report page. Hopefully LE will continue to investigate.
