An arrest has been made in a residential break-in reported this month near Four Oaks.
On Nov. 3rd a resident in the 2800 block of Highway 96 South said someone forcibly entered their home and removed a wedding ring valued at $500.
Following an investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, James Lee Matthews, 36, of the 5100 block of Elevation Road, Benson was arrested. Authorities said Matthews was stopped by a deputy on Nov. 8th and during the traffic stop suspected methamphetamine was found concealed inside a cigar box.
Matthews was jailed under a $100,000 bond on charges that include possession of methamphetamines, breaking and entering, larceny and parole violation.
