The Town of Benson has issued a Boil Water Advisory for some of their water customers.
The advisory was issued Monday for public water customers on Highway 242, Dogeye Road and Oak Park Drive.
If you are effected, you should boil water vigorously for three minutes prior to drinking or consuming water, including cooking, brushing teeth, or ice making.
The advisory is in effect until water samples can be analyzed. Those tests typically take 24 hours. The Town of Benson will notify customers once the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted.
Kimberly Pickett, Finance Director for the Town of Benson, said the Advisory was issued as a precaution following a water main break on Highway 242.
