Break-In Suspect Arrested After Selling Stolen Items To Undercover Officer

A suspect in several storage unit break-ins near Four Oaks was arrested Friday after she allegedly sold some of the stolen property to an undercover police officer.

Recently, several storage units on Highway 210 at Lassiter Road were broken into.  One of the units contained an antique night stand, desk, and elephant statute the owner was storing to sell at his flea market business.

When some of the stolen property showed up on OfferUp website, deputies said an undercover Clayton Police officer investigating several storage unit break-ins in their jurisdiction, responded to the ad.

Naomi Anette Goodman, 40, of Katherine Drive, Garner reportedly showed up with some of the stolen items.  Goodman was charged by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office with breaking and entering, larceny, and possession of stolen property.

JoCoReport reached out Monday to Clayton Police for information on their storage unit break-ins. As of our Tuesday news deadline, we had not received a response to our request for information.
