Break-Ins Reported At New Home Construction Sites

Deputies are investigating break-ins at two homes under construction. Both break-ins were discovered Thursday at homes being built on Cherryhill Drive off King Mill Road near Four Oaks.

After forcibly gaining entry into one home, thieves stole a microwave, dishwasher, light fixture and door locks.  In a second incident at a nearby home, thieves stole a dishwasher, light fixture, and door locks.

The items had an estimated value of $1,220.

Both homes are owned by Carroll Construction of Willow Spring.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area between 6:00pm Wednesday and 2:30pm Thursday is asked to contact the Johnston County Sheriff’s office at 919-989-5000.

A third break-in was reported Thursday at residence in the 3800 block of Black Creek Road near Four Oaks. While the homeowner was away between 6:00am and 4:00pm, someone broke into their house and stole $4,380 in items including 6 firearms and electronics. Authorities do not know if that incident may be linked to the break-ins on Cherryhill Drive.
