Johnston County deputies responded to a home Friday on Betsy Court outside of Clayton for a disturbance. One person was taken to jail.
Officers allege Orven Russell Phipps, 63, of Amelia Church Road, Clayton went to the address around 6:00pm and an argument ensued with the 47 year-old male homeowner. The homeowner shut the door and went inside. Phipps is accused of forcing open the front door and going inside. Once inside, Phipps allegedly assaulted the homeowner by biting him on the wrist and forearm.
According to an incident report, the door sustained an estimated $50 in damage.
Phipps was charged with felony breaking and entering to terrorize or injure and misdemeanor assault. The homeowner sustained minor injuries.
The suspect was released on a $5,000 bond. Authorities said the suspect and victim knew one another and the incident was domestic related.
