Burglary Suspect Confesses To Crime

Charges have been filed against a burglary suspect who stole items from a home while the occupants were inside.

On April 30th, a neighbor reported seeing a man entered the garage of a home on Nicklaus Drive in the Cleveland community and remove a weed eater, hedge trimmers, and a tool box and flee on a bicycle.  The occupants inside the home were unaware the theft had occurred until being alerted by their neighbor.

Johnston County deputies have now charged 54 year-old Stephen Dennis Williams of Royalty Court, Garner with the crime.  He was arrested Thursday on first degree burglary charges.

Williams alleged confessed to committing the crime.  He was jailed under a $70,000 bond.
