Burglary Suspect Drinks Homeowner’s Beer

PRINCETON – While a Johnston County homeowner was away, a man reportedly broke into his property stealing a few items and drinking his beer before leaving.  The intruder left the empty beer can behind.

The break-in was reported August 25th on Bug Shop Road outside of Princeton.  The 68 year-old victim discovered his screened-in porch and outbuilding had both been entered and six figurines were stolen.

Fortunately, the homeowner had a camera that captured a photo of the suspect, reportedly identified as Timothy Allen Williams, 26, also of Bugshop Road.  Williams lives about a half-mile away from the victim.

Williams was arrested August 25th and charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering and one count of felony larceny.  He allegedly confessed to the crime.  Sheriff’s detectives were able to recover the stolen figurines.

Williams was given a $10,000 secured bond after being booked into the Johnston County Jail.
