Burglary Suspect Wanted By Sheriff’s Investigators

BENSON – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has released images of a suspect and a vehicle of interest following a convenience store break-in. Around 1:09am Thursday, July 1st the person in this surveillance image broke into the Meadow Store at the intersection of Highway 50 South and Highway 96 in the Meadow community.

Detectives said the suspect used a pair of channel locks to remove the locking mechanism from the front door.

Moments after the suspect fled from the business, a white 2008-2012 Cadillac CTS emerges from behind the business and leaves.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 foot 7, 175 pounds. He was wearing a ski mask, black gloves, blue hoodie, and black pants.
