A California man found himself in the Johnston County Jail after allegedly calling the Johnston County 911 Center over a two day period.
Modesto Salvador Hernandez, 37, of Porter Ranch, CA was at a home on South Trace Drive near Benson on May 31st when he allegedly called 911 reporting a medical emergency. EMS, fire department first responders and law enforcement responded and determined there was no medical emergency and that Hernandez was intoxicated.
He reportedly called 911 again on June 1st claiming there was another medical emergency. When officers arrived they said Hernandez was once again impaired and not in need of medical attention.
Hernandez was charged with misuse of the 911 system and resisting a public officer. He was given a $5,000 bond.
