Campbell Football Set For First Scrimmage Of 2022 Preseason

BUIES CREEK. – Three weeks before opening the 2022 season at Barker-Lane Stadium, Campbell will hold the first of three open scrimmages on Thursday, August 11, at 6:00 p.m.

The Camels will also welcome fans for open scrimmages on August 18 and August 25, also set for 6:00 p.m. starts at Barker-Lane Stadium. CU’s final scrimmage will be held in conjunction with Traditions 101, a new event to learn the traditions of a Fighting Camel football game day (more details to come).

There is no cost to attend all three dates.

Seating will be limited to the East Side of Barker-Lane Stadium in Sections 110, 111, 112, 113 and 114.

The Camels opened preseason camp on August 2.

Led by head coach Mike Minter in his 10th season in Buies Creek, Campbell returns a combined 14 starters on the offense and defense in 2022, and 61 letterwinners while welcoming a bevy of newcomers that make up the FCS’ top-ranked recruiting class.
