Car Break-In Suspect Caught Inside Vehicle

FREMONT – A Kenly man was arrested by Wayne County deputies after they responded to a report of a car break-in that was in progress. On Saturday, October 30th, officers responded to the 300 block of Union Grove Church Road.

Deputies arrived on the scene and reportedly found Jeremy Shane Barbour, 40, of the 3200 block of Hickory Crossroads Road, Kenly inside the vehicle.

During the investigation, deputies said they determined Barbour had committed the break-in and was taken into custody.

Barbour was charged with felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, felony larceny of motor vehicle parts, and misdemeanor injury to property. He was given a $6,500 secured bond at the Wayne County Detention Center.
