PINE LEVEL – A Dodge Challenger traveling westbound on US Highway 70 between Princeton and Pine Level nearly leveled a pole barn and destroyed its contents, Sunday afternoon. The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
The car also struck a new equipment trailer, sending it across the field and into the side of a parked mobile home.

The pole barn was being rented to store contents for yard sale items. The renter had no renter’s insurance on the contents.
The Dodge had a temporarily license tag and the driver reportedly had a suspended license at the time of the accident.

The Pine Level Fire Department and Johnston County EMS responded.
The State Highway Patrol investigated the crash. Charges are pending.
