CLAYTON – A home health care worker has been arrested on felony charges. The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has charged 53 year-old Jody Kemp of Raleigh with larceny of chose in action and uttering a forged check.
On October 15th, deputies received a report Kemp, who was entrusted to care for the elderly 85 year-old victim, stole and cashed $1,445 in checks belonging to the victim. Kemp had reportedly been the caregiver for the bedridden woman since late-August.
Kemp was arrested Monday and confined in the Johnston County Jail on a $40,000 secured bond.
