Cashier Accused Of Taking $3,298 From Register

An employee at a local Wal-Mart store is accused of stealing a large sum of money from a cash register.

Management at the Wal-Mart on Highway 42 in the Cleveland community reportedly noticed a register being short hundreds of dollars each day.  After reviewing video footage, Bria Racquel Artis, 20, of Garner, a cashier at the store, was reportedly caught taking a total of $3,298 from the register over a 5 day period.

Artis was arrested on Friday and charged with felonious larceny by an employee.

She was given a $10,000 bond.
