A cashier at the Walmart on Highway 42 in Cleveland is facing felony theft charges.
Johnston County deputies were dispatched to the business on Monday after loss prevention personnel reported a cashier was loading money on pre-paid credit cards but not paying for the cards which she allegedly kept. The total value was $711. 22.
Deputies said they reviewed security footage of the alleged theft.
Mary Ida Durham, 48, of Plymouth Drive, Clayton was charged with larceny by an employee and confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $10,000 bond.
