Clayton Gathers For A Night Of Lights, Music, And Holiday Cheer

CLAYTON — Downtown Clayton will transform into a festive holiday destination on Thursday, Dec. 4, as the town hosts its annual Christmas Village and Tree Lighting along Main Street.

The celebration runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and stretches from Horne Square to Town Square. The event is free and open to the public.

Families will find plenty to enjoy throughout the evening, with local businesses welcoming visitors for a lively holiday open house. The streets will be filled with light displays, live performances, and seasonal treats.

Children can ride a trackless train, pose inside a giant inflatable snow globe, meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, and take part in glitter tattoos and Christmas crafts.

The festivities will conclude at 7:15 p.m. with the lighting of the Town of Clayton Christmas Tree in Town Square.

Mayor Jody McLeod will lead the countdown alongside the 2025 Christmas Spirit Award winner, continuing a tradition that brings the community together to welcome the holiday season.
