Clayton PD’s Christmas With A Cop Helps 30 Children

CLAYTON – The Clayton Police Department’s annual Christmas with a Cop helped nine families and a total of 30 children this year.

On December 20, police officers delivered wrapped presents and turkeys to the families Johnston County Schools helped connect police with families in Clayton who were in need of some extra Christmas cheer.

Police posted on their Facebook page that nothing compared to the smiles that greeted them at the doors. The parents expressed immense gratitude, and the children’s joy was contagious.

We are so happy these families will have gifts under the tree and food on the table during this holiday season, police said.

Police received assistance from Walmart in Clayton, Springbrook Rehabilitation & Nursing Center and Food Lion on US 70 in Smithfield. Also several officers and their families donated gifts and their time to make the event a huge success.

  1. That is so sweet of the town of Clayton Police Department to make them kids happy for Christmas. A lot of children don’t receive anything for Christmas and to see these children with their Christmas it brightens my day. 🎄🎁❤️
