Cocaine Dealer Operated Trap House In Smithfield, JCSO Says

A Wayne County man has been arrested on felony drug charges following a six month investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division.

Agents said they made several undercover buys of cocaine during the investigation into 38 year-old Mario Anthony Dublin of First Street, Goldsboro.   Dublin is accused of operating a trap house – a home used by a drug dealer for the sole purpose of distributing illegal narcotics – in the 600 block of North Street in Smithfield to sell cocaine.

Narcotic agents described Dublin as a mid-level drug dealer in the Smithfield area.

Dublin was located by the Sheriff’s Office SAFE Team on Friday night and arrested on 10 outstanding felony drug warrants including possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine, and the sell or delivery of cocaine.

He was released from custody on a bond of only $50,000.

Dublin has an extensive criminal history including prior convictions for common law robbery, breaking and entering, assault, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, damage to property, felony sell of narcotics and possession of a firearm by a felon.
