The JCPS Board approved the purchase of 200 new computers, from Arey Jones Educational Solutions, at a cost of $145,442.50. The purchase also includes a four year onsite warranty.

The following CTE computer labs will receive new computers:

Cleveland High – 30
Corinth Holders High – 60

Selma Middle – 20
West Johnston High – 30

Computer labs are updated on a five year refresh schedule. The new computers will replace outdated units. Funds for the replacement were already included in the current fiscal year budget.

    • @Brett @terrybarns: This was discussed and public knowledge…. nearly 1/2 are damaged and classified as “non-functional” or “need repair” — they’ll be sent to Raleigh to the state surplus agency for resale. The rest are distributed to school libraries and given out (as needed) as loaners or replacements.

    • lol. Touche, Terry! Now let us run along and work some more so we can pay more taxes like good little peasants.
