Daughter, Boyfriend Arrested For Breaking Into Mother’s Home While She Was In The Hospital

A Four Oaks couple was arrested last week after being linked by sheriff’s detectives to a break-in reported in August at a home in the Meadow community outside of Benson.

On August 25th, the 44 year-old victim told authorities she returned to her home from a brief stay in hospital only to discover her residence on Lori Lane had been broken into and more than $3,000 in items had been stolen.  The theft occurred sometime between Aug. 22 and 25th she told deputies.

Following an investigation, the victim’s daughter, 24 year-old Sierra Dawn Yarbrough and her boyfriend, 27 year-old Cody Dale Barbour both of Rocking Horse Trail, Four Oaks were arrested. Yarbrough and Barbour were both charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, and felony conspiracy.

During the break-in, groceries, cleaning supplies, a shelving unit, step ladder, Honda generator and a $70 bottle of rum were allegedly stolen.

Both suspects were transported to the Johnston County Jail and given $10,000 secured bonds.
