Delivery Driver Suspected Of Stealing Wedding Ring From Homeowner

A delivery driver is accused of stealing a diamond wedding ring from a Cleveland area home.  On December 9th, a 34 year-old woman reported to authorities a propane delivery driver from Raleigh went to her home in The Village at Cleveland Springs off Glen Road to deliver a propane tank.  The delivery driver came inside to obtain her credit card information.

As the driver began to leave, he allegedly grabbed a diamond wedding ring the woman had left on a kitchen counter.  The victim realized the ring was missing a few minutes later.  Another person in the home allegedly saw the suspect going through her personal belongings before he exited the residence.

Christopher Wayne Green, 55, of English Rose Lane, Raleigh was arrested Feb. 3rd by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and charged with felony larceny. Green was released on a $5,000 bond.

The stolen ring, valued at $3,500, has not been recovered.
