Deputies Find Drugs, Bulletproof Vest, Pellet Gun In Car

Johnston County deputies seized several items from a vehicle after being called to check on a suspicious vehicle Thursday afternoon.  Officers received a report around 3:15pm of a suspicious car in the 9200 block of Highway 222 West of Kenly.

When they arrived they allegedly found 26 year-old Sean David Jones of Moore Road, Kenly passed out in the car with the engine still running.

After awakening Jones, deputies said they located a pill bottle containing suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and saboxone.

Also located in the car were a bulletproof vest, and a pellet pistol.  Those items were seized.

Jones was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and served with a failure to appear warrant for assault on a female.  Jones was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $48,000 bond.
