A 30 year-old man has been arrested on 14 felony warrants after he allegedly rang up thousands of dollars in transactions on his grandmother’s credit card. Johnston County sheriff’s deputies charged Allen Christopher Wall of George Wilton Drive, Clayton with 13 counts of obtaining property by false pretense and one count of financial card theft.
In March, the 87 year-old victim discovered unauthorized transactions on her credit card totaling approximately $9,000. Wall, her grandson, is accused of stealing the credit card and using it multiple times. The incident was reported in early-May.
Wall was initially arrested May 17th. Additional charges were filed against him May 27th. He is currently being held in the Johnston County Jail on a $182,000 bond.
Additional charges against Wall have not been ruled out.
