One person has been arrested and a second arrest has not been ruled out following a rash of car break-ins in northern Johnston County.
The break-ins were reported late-Friday night and early-Saturday morning in the Corinth Holders community at homes near the Johnston-Wake County line, including several on Mission Belle Lane, Yellow Belle Court, Silver Belle Drive, and Highway 231.
With the assistance of the Wake County Sheriff’s Office and Knightdale Police, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office arrested Keison Moandre Richardson, 20, of Zebulon on Saturday. Altogether, Richardson has been linked to 17 break-ins. Detective Lt. Don Pate said authorities have not ruled out a possible second suspect in the crime spree.
Investigators were able to recover a significant amount of the stolen property from an address in Wake County.
Richardson was given a $100,000 bond on the charges that include breaking and entering motor vehicles, larceny and felony conspiracy.
