Deputy Sheriff Injured In Early Morning Wreck

SELMA – The State Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle crash this morning (Monday) involving a Johnston County sheriff’s deputy.

The collision was reported at 5:35am on Phillips Road off Highway 39 north of Selma.

For an unknown reason, the deputy ran off the roadway in a marked patrol car and struck a driveway culvert. The car went airborne before crashing into a ditch. The officer was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

  1. I hope the Deputy will be ok. I love and respect the JCSO but they are having a bad go of there driving lately.
