District Attorney Susan Doyle filed for re-election Monday with the NC State Board of Elections. Doyle is seeking her fifth term as District Attorney for Johnston County.
While serving as District Attorney for Johnston County, Doyle’s office led all other District Attorney Offices in the state for efficiency in prosecuting cases in Superior Court. Doyle was elected to serve as President of the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys and was also nominated by former Speaker Thom Tillis to serve on the North Carolina Human Trafficking Commission.
Doyle received the Mothers Against Drunk Driving Prosecutor of the Year Award in 2009. She currently serves on the Executive Committee and co-chairs the Legislative Committee for the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys, frequently working with legislators on issues that affect crime victims.
“I have devoted my entire life to helping victims of crime, and it would be an honor and a privilege to continue to serve the citizens of Johnston County as District Attorney,” Doyle stated.
Doyle currently resides in Clayton with her daughter, Katie, and her two dogs, Biscuit and Abby.
