Westbound lanes of the US70 Clayton Bypass were shut down for more than an hour Sunday morning following a single car accident.
Emergency crews responded to the crash near the 325 mile marker at the bridge over Little Creek Church Road.
A car traveling westbound ran off the roadway and struck the guardrail before overturning in the travel lanes. Emergency responders conducted an extensive search for the driver but could not locate anyone.
